A leading global provider of wireless broadband solutions, today announced the availability of the ePMP™ Force 200 in the popular 5 GHz frequency band. The Force 200 5 GHz can be configured as a high-speed point-to-point wireless bridge or as the subscriber module in a point-to-multipoint wireless access network.

The ePMP Force 200 5 GHz is the next generation of the Force product, with a streamlined form factor, rapid assembly and deployment, and incorporation of a high-performance Gigabit Ethernet port. The Force 200 also supports the use of an optional radome for deployment in regions with a high probability of snow and ice accumulation. The ePMP Force 200 is 40% lighter than its predecessor, reducing tower wind load and opening up additional installation options for network operators.

Key features of ePMP Force 200 5 GHz include:

•Frequency: Full support of all 5 GHz sub-bands (subject to local regulations)

•Throughput: up to 200 Mbps

•Range: up to 24.9 miles (40 kilometers)

•Gigabit Ethernet port

“The Force 200 design is based on customer input for higher data rates and faster installation, and provides a great solution for wireless network extensions or rural connectivity. This new module demonstrates Cambium Networks’ continued commitment to delivering high-performance wireless broadband solutions that are scalable and lead the industry in spectral efficiency,” said Scott Imhoff, Vice President of Product Management, Cambium Networks. “By providing network operators with an increasingly varied and affordable portfolio, they are better equipped to solve the ever evolving broadband communication needs of their customers.”

Cambium is hosting a Webinar on ePMP Network Optimization on Tuesday, February 02 at 9:00 am CST. The ePMP Force 200 at 5 GHz is now available through Cambium Networks’ global distributors.
